Where the name comes from
In a workshop, a layup is what you get when you lay one layer down on top of another — card on card, sheet on sheet — until the stack has a shape of its own. That idea stuck with us. Every screen on this site is made of flat sheets resting on the ones beneath, and the windows cut through them show you a little of what is underneath.
We liked the honesty of it. Nothing is hidden behind a fold or a trick; you can always see how the pieces sit.
Why only one game
Early on, we sketched a lobby with a dozen machines and quickly noticed that none of them was getting the attention it deserved. So we threw the sketches out and kept one. Five-Ply Peel has had the hours that would otherwise have gone into eleven half-finished games: the reel timing, the weight of each symbol, the way the lemon slip lifts out on a win.
One game also keeps things clear for you. There is one paytable to read, one set of rules, one balance.
What we are, and what we are not
Layup League is a social casino in the plainest sense: a place to enjoy a slot for its own sake. You start with free virtual coins, and that is the only way to get them. There is no shop, no deposit, no withdrawal and no prize at the end of a winning streak. Coins have no value outside the page they live on, and they reset when you reload.
The site is intended for adults aged 18 and over. It is written for players anywhere and does not target any one country.
How we look after the game
The reels are resolved in your browser with a cryptographic random number generator, and the exact strip makeup and paytable are published on the game page. We would rather show our working than ask you to take our word for it.
If something looks wrong — a win that was not credited, a balance that did not move — please tell us through the support page. Small reports like that are how the stack stays straight.
